Stanely Time Trial

The Stanley Time Trial is a race against the clock put on by the Chippewa Valley Cycling Club (http://www.cvccbike.com) under the direction of Bob Schwartz. The old 14 miles on a square course had to be abandoned because of road construction, so this year the race was a 16 mile out and back heading south from Stanley. The rolling terrain was overshadowed by the 30+ mph west wind that had every one leaning hard.

Joan Carlson cruised to 18th place overall and won the women's division with by more than 4 minutes with a time of 43:18.

Steve McMahon raced in the unfaired recumbent division, winning it with a time of 51:29.

David Hogue started his comeback from knee and hip surgery with a 6th place in the Men's 60-65 age group.
